Pickup was on time near our riad around 8am, and we drove into the mountains and desert with several coffee and toilet stops—definitely dress warmly as it gets very cold. Our driver also stopped so we could enjoy the scenery and take photos. Our first stop was Ait Benhaddou, where a friendly local guide shared history and information, along with demonstrations of local art and carpets.
